Disclaimer
Please read this before booking a session. It explains what hypnosis is, what it isn't, and the legal limits of the service Elite Results Hypnosis provides.
Hypnosis is not a government-regulated profession
Hypnosis is not a government-regulated health profession in any province or territory, including Ontario. There is no provincial college, license, or government exam that oversees hypnotists, unlike regulated professions such as physicians, psychologists, or registered massage therapists. Certification with a hypnosis training body or association reflects training completed — it is not a government license.
Rene is a hypnotist, not a psychotherapist or other regulated health professional
In Ontario, the title "psychotherapist" is legally protected under the Psychotherapy Act, 2007 and is reserved for individuals registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Only a registered psychotherapist (or another regulated health professional acting within their scope) may treat a serious disorder of thought, cognition, mood, emotional regulation, perception, or memory.
Rene is a fully certified hypnotist. Rene is not a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, social worker, or other regulated health professional, and Elite Results Hypnosis does not provide psychotherapy, counselling, or any other regulated health service.
Hypnosis sessions do not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions
Rene does not diagnose, treat, manage, or claim to cure any physical illness, disease, mental health condition, or psychological disorder. Hypnosis sessions are educational and self-improvement in nature — they are a tool for habit change, focus, and performance, not a medical or psychological treatment.
Hypnosis is not a substitute for:
- Medical care, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed physician
- Psychotherapy, counselling, or treatment from a licensed psychologist, psychotherapist, or social worker
- Psychiatric care or prescribed medication
- Emergency or crisis intervention services
If you are currently receiving other care
If you have a diagnosed medical condition, a diagnosed mental health condition, or are currently under the care of a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or therapist, please continue that care and consult that professional before beginning hypnosis sessions — particularly if you are managing pain, anxiety, a mood disorder, addiction, or are taking medication. Hypnosis, where appropriate, is best used to complement professional care, not replace it.
If you are in crisis
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, are in crisis, or are having thoughts of harming yourself or others, please contact emergency services (911 or your local emergency number), go to your nearest emergency room, or contact a crisis line in your area immediately. Do not wait for a hypnosis session.
Results vary
Outcomes from hypnosis are individual. No specific result, outcome, cure, or timeline is promised or guaranteed for any client.

Information shared during consultations and sessions is treated as private and is not shared with third parties except where required by law.
